While most of us are losing what day on isolation we’re on, others are finding ways to creatively keep to their normal healthy routine. From living room yoga to squats on apartment balconies, the excuses for why you can’t work out while social distancing are dwindling. After seeing my sweet friend Michelle share a creative at-home workout using water jugs and laundry detergent, I realized that the pressure to work out a certain way was all in my head (and probably yours too!)
Have you ever talked yourself out of a workout because you didn’t have proper weights or booty bands or a cute yoga mat? Michelle inspired me to lose the pressure that working out had to look a certain way and shared how easy it is to prioritize a healthy routine with the things you already have at home.
Here are Michelle’s 3 Creative At-Home Workouts:
1. Use our couch or a chair for step-ups, hip thrusts, anything
2. Use a backpack with your squats + lower body work
3. Use bottle of WINE for dumbbells! This is great for arms, abs and upper body workouts
There are a lot of things in our normal lives that aren’t available right now, but having a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be one of them. The possibilities for a creative at-home workout are endless. Get creative and have fun with it!
