How to Build a Community Through a Podcast

Do you have a dream of building a community full of people looking for friendship and encouragement? Have you ever thought about doing that through hosting your own podcast? In this episode Jeanette Tapley is breaking down what it takes to build a community through podcasting.

3 Ways to Build a Community Through a Podcast

Name your podcast wisely.

If you’re looking to build a community through hosting a podcast, you want to make sure that it’s easy for people to know what your podcast will be about just by reading the name.

Build your platform as a place where people can trust you and listen to what you have to say.

Thinking before you speak is something everyone should follow but especially if you’re hoping to build a platform to lead a community.

Check yourself before you wreck yourself. You have a story to share.

It can be easy to think that we don’t have anything worth sharing but if you were to be honest with yourself the truth is you’ve more than likely been through something that can help someone else currently in that same season. Building community is about being a connector. Whether it’s a connection to you or to someone else, you have the power to bring community to others through what you share on your show.

Hosting a podcast is a great way to build community. While there are a ton of podcasts out there, don’t get stuck in the idea that just because someone else has done it, that it doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for you.
