1. Take the time to figure out what you really want.
I think having vision is the singular most important thing you can know before really chasing your dreams. You’ll never know if you’ll end up in the right place if you don’t know where you’re going.
Whether it’s by talking to people you know or taking a test like strengths finder, knowing your strengths and really believing in who you were made to be helps you overcome a lot of fear and be confident in the path you’re walking.
I recommend setting yearly goals, for sure, but beyond that I recommend monthly and quarterly goals as well. Goals help you stay focused and relieve guilt when you have off days and seasons.
Community is important because they’ll be there to pick you up when you fail or want to quit and also when you want to celebrate. They will keep you grounded in what’s important. Mentors are important because we need to see that dreams are possible. Whether it be someone in your life or you find someone in the world to connect to via podcast, books, the internet.
