Becoming a Full-Time World Traveler

Does picking up and moving across the world to be a full-time world traveler sound exciting? Then this is the episode for you. I’m sitting down with Megan Seamans as she digs into the three things you need to do in order to become a full-time world traveler.

We unpack what it’s really like to leave your family and embark on the unknown and the hardships that can come along with it. Oh, and all those questions like “what do you do with all of your stuff,” and “do you have to repurchase furniture and silverware everywhere you move,” we cover all of that too!

Megan shares that in order to become a full-time world traveler you need to:

  1. Reframe your comfort zone. Getting out of what feels normal isn’t an easy task for most people. Megan challenges us to reframe what our normal is and the possibilities of what our comfort zone could look like if we allow ourselves to make a few shifts.
  2. Get really clear on what you actually want. While moving across the world might seem like a spontaneous adventure, there’s quite a bit of preplanning involved. Things like getting work visa’s and scheduling out where to live. Sitting down and creating a game plan is key to being successful as a full-time world traveler.
  3. Create the mindset of a full-time traveler. While the name full-time is in the title, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s your job. If you’re going to be a full-time traveler you’re likely going to need to keep the cash flow coming in so you can continue to do the things you love most-see the world! Knowing how to set boundaries with spending and work hours are all crucial as a full-time traveler.

One of my favorite things that Megan said is there where’s there’s fear, there’s also excitement. If you can follow that excitement, you’ll get to see the life you’ve been dreaming of.

Whether you want to become a full-time traveler or simply just want to hear the adventures of someone who is, dig into this episode. Megan is such a ray of sunshine and her energy is contagious. She immediately had me planning out all the different places I want to travel to as soon as we hopped off the phone.
